Bridal Shower Games

What's your favorite bridal shower game?

I'm throwing a shower for my soon-to-be sister-in-law on January 13 and want to keep the party moving along quickly. I think it will be the largest shower I've been to, which means lots of gifts to open, which means let's get through everything without delays.

Please leave a comment with your ideas for a fun/unique/not-too-time-consuming game. Thanks!

I just planned a bridal shower recently. We did a couple games that everyone enjoyed.

The purse scavenger hunt was a fun one...giving point values to common and uncommon things in your purse...one gal had 243 pictures of her kid in her purse. Each picture was worth 3 points...needless to say...she won!

We also did the toilet paper bridal dress design. We broke up into 3 teams and designed dresses out of paper plates, string, streamer, tape and toilet paper. The bride chose the winning design. It was a good ice breaker.

We did "groom" trivia. Ask the groom a series of questions beforehand and see how well the "bride" knows the groom.

But the favorite game, was Name that (Love) Tune. I found a variety of songs with the word love in them and compiled them onto one CD. I tried to pick songs that appealed to a variety of generations that would be at the shower. We played a part of each song...and I usually went from the beginning of the song until the chorus. Plus, we even included extra credit if the song was from a movie...it was a lot of fun.

Email me for more ideas! :) Have fun!
